In the future, the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental will be one of the three biggest interconnected ski resorts in the world. With the construction of the 8-seater cable car, the "SkiWelt - Kitzbühel Alps" on the Westendorf Choralpe, from winter 2008/09 the Bergbahn Brixen will complete the final link in the ski network. The new 4.5 km long super run will be open as of this year! Skiers and boarders will love gliding down the long new super slope - with an altitude difference of 1,020 metres, definitely one of the best runs ever!
To make sure all snow lovers make it to the valley lift station comfortably, a shuttle service will be arranged from the end of the slope to the Hochbrixen valley station.
As of 2008/2009, a conveyor belt and a drag lift will transport skiers from the end of the slope in the area of the Brixen bathing lake directly to the new valley lift station. This will be built on the opposite side of the street from the existing funicular station situated on the sunny side. A bridge over the Brixental main road will connect the two buildings.
Thanks to the partnership between SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental (90 lifts, 250 kilometres of slopes) and the Kitzbühel ski resort (55 lifts, 168 kilometres of slopes), the vision of creating the third biggest interconnected ski resort is getting ever closer. Then, together with Les Trois Vallées and the Megéve-Mont-Blanc area, it will be up with the three biggest ski resorts in the world!
